The Horror of It All

@ 07:05 PM (36 months, 1 day ago)

Yesterday I posted about the new Reality Court TV series on Domestic Violence Murders to air on Court TV in January and I was surprised no one responded.  As mothers, Fathers, neighbors, grandparents we need to consider having a no tolerance policy for this type of televison trash.

All this kind of show does is feed those who are already abusive to step up efforts of power and control, and yes, perhaps even murder.

And the irony behind the news release is that these producers made the annoucement during National Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

In this country 8 to 10 women are murdered each and everyday. You go to church with these victims, live next store to them and let you kids or grandkids play with them and work side-by side with them  .  Domestic Violence takes place behind closed doors. That is why when a murder occurs and you see a neighbor interviewed on television, they almost always say "What a nice quiet couple they were" It's time society tool a more active role in this issue that affects all of us.  In the workplace alone $36 Billion dollars are lost due to workplace related illiness and incidents in the home.  When police and the courts respond, we pay for that with our tax dollars.

Remember a Horror Film Director/Film Marker has created a reality show? What is Next?
