What's Next?
An article in the NY Times says that the immigration bill that illegals have been protesting in California has now been amended to legalize the nation's 11 million illegal immigrants that are already here. I have two compound questions:
1) If it is so easy just to grant resident status to illegal aliens, why is it illegal in the first place? Don't our politicians know what will happen when we grant resident status to the ones who are already here?
2) Why do we care what illegal aliens think anyway? This has taken pollster politics to a new, disgusting level. Why didn't La Migra just show up to the demonstration, load them all into a van, and send them home? Let them demonstrate in Guatemala.
