Yet another day passes and innocent children, once, again are killed.  This time in a quiet Amish community in Pennsylvania.  The shooter, just as in the other recent tragedy, seperated the girls from the boys.  I watched nightline tonight as they reported on the shootings.  The children wisked away by helicopters taken to other hospitals for immediate medical attention.  Faxes sent by hospitals to the police department so they could notify the parents in this community whose residents do not have the internet or cell phones or cable television. They lead a simple quiet life.  That was up until, today.  Another officer as he carried a 6-year old girl out to safety, died in his arms.  And the reporter at the scene covering the story, barely able to complete his report, overcome with emotion.

Adults, are now going into our children's schools at random, and killing our innocent children.  It is also very important for the media to handle their reporting, ever so carefully.  They must report the facts minus sensationalizing these horrible killings.

We need to implement a plan.  The schools are no longer safe.  Does that mean people come together, perhaps church's and begin home schooling children?  Does this mean that we must outfit every school in America with terror prevention safety equipment?

As I am writing this blog, on the Oprah show they are rebroadcasting todays show.  And it's about women who are married and coming out of the "closet" because their desire is to live their truth and be in a relationship with other women. Or earlier today, the premiere of the Bachelor in "Rome" a popular, I'm desperate to go on national television cause I can't get a date show. And then the parents of these adults commenting on the opportunity to meet "Ms. Right".  Obviously, these parents see no problem, there is something very sick and twisted about these shows.

This type of media only fuels are already lost and violent society.  Who are we, is really what these shows ask.  And they then provide their answer, by showing real people leading gay lives.  This is just one example of, for me anyway, confusion.  Why even put these shows on in the first place. Well simple enough, ratings, ratings, ratings.

Well, the parents and relatives who were caught in the world's violence today, like someone picking out a fishing hole, have never been to the Oprah show could care less about technology or the media.  And we, American's go to these places with our families and visit and point at them in their wagons as they pull the horse and tend to their crops.  And we laugh at their choice of wardrobe or ask ourselves how can they live like this.

I, for one would take their way of life over ours, anyday.

A grandfather of one of the children in critical condition, said to the reporter covering the killings, asked if everyone could please pray for the community and families.  I think we need to pray for ourselves, too.  Because we are out of control.
