SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. -- The San Francisco police department should launch its own investigation into allegations that some officers traveled to other countries to have sex with minors, according to their Police Commissioner, Joe Alioto Veronese.
City Police Chief Heather Fong agreed, "I am aware of a federal investigation. if there is any information that comes to the attention of the department, we will investigate those concerns that are raised." Yea, Right!!!
Several weeks ago, federal immigration officials launched a probe after officer Donald Ramirez was arrested in Cambodia on charges he sexually abused a 14-year-old girl. Ramirez apparently committed suicide following his arrest.
“We cannot stand by as officers in this department have personal knowledge that other officers may have been involved in this type of activity in southeast Asia. How low will people go, especially those sworn to serve and protect? This is the first case I have ever head of and I am sure there are others yet to surface. The department clearly, should not investigate their own. The Attorney Generals Office along with the FBI should actively pursue this serious matter.
