In Pennsylvania, another unstable tin badge officer licensed to carry a gun, murders his wife with his service revolver before killing himself.  The couple had a history of domestic violence.

Police said a part-time Tatamy police officer used his police weapon to fatally shoot his wife and then himself at their Bethlehem Township home tuesday morning.

Duh used his semi-automatic handgun from Tatamy to kill his wife, Amy, and then turned it on himself.

On a dining room table, police found a holstered weapon, Pancoast said. That gun was traced to Lehigh County, where Derreck Duh worked as a deputy sheriff.

The couple were found dead shortly after 10:30 a.m. at their home at 1906 Third St. Amy Duh had filed at least two protection-from-abuse orders against her husband earlier this year, but eventually dropped both orders. 

This is exactly what happens when a wife of any law enforcement experience violence within the home.  Often, she drops the orders of protection because for an officers wife, just filing charges can be deadly.  Until the top brass, Fraternal Order of Tin Badge Men included, get serious about violence among the officers, and screening procedures across the country, nothing will change.
