Today Chicago Sun Times Columnist Mary Mitchell wrote yet another story today Click here: Isn't man innocent until proven guilty? :: CHICAGO SUN-TIMES :: Mary Mitchell
regarding the innocence of Mr. Potts, who because of a his very questionable past is on the "public hot seat".  Although her column did not mention it, my guess is that she has been flooded with calls and emails after the story appeared on Sunday:Like A Neon Sign The Front Page Headline: "I Didn't Kill Her" .  While I do understand the criminal justice system and that we are each innocent until proven guilty by a jury of our peers.  Somehow, I do not understand the position the Chicago Suntimes took in this situation by giving the story front page headline ink.

The reality is that no one has yet to be charged in Nailah Franklin's murder.  Press is press no matter how it is cut up.  At the end of the day, Mary Mitchell has continued to keep this case in the public eye and for that she is to be commended.

Nailah Franklin, who was last seen on Sept. 16 and was found in a Calumet Park forest preserve on Sept. 27. Reginald Potts (inset) says he saw Franklin off and on for over a year.
