Lorain Police Department "We Protect Abusive Police Officers"?

This look the other way, behavior must not be allowed to continue within police departments across the country. The attorney generals office needs to begin a process whereby they strip certain police union powers as well as from department heads when officers commit crimes and those who also assist in covering up need to be stripped of their police powers. Then you would see officers stop protecting their blue tin badge brothers if their jobs were in jeopardy. The memo is difficult to read go to full text below:
Sept. 5, 2007: Laura Earl said “I’ve been married to Corey for 23 years. He’s aggressive, controlling, and extremely jealous. He has rage. He has been abusive” Laura Earl told county Domestic Relations Magistrate Rene Zafarana during a hearing on whether the protection order barring Corey Earl from coming near her - and prevents his from carrying a gun - should be kept in place. “Corey has said many, many times to me that nobody will ever have me except him.” He has also expressed homicidal and suicidal intentions over the years as well. His own father committed suicide too!!!!
1987-1988: Corey alleges a male attacked him, and this resulted in an accidental shooting of the attacker in the buttocks.
Early 1990’s: Corey tortured, terrorized, and beat handcuffed juveniles in his custody, under Rivera’s orders.
1990’s: Corey coined the phrase “Marriage is just a formality.”
Mid 1990’s: He beat up a Journal photographer, took his camera, and exposed the film.
Mid 1990’s: Assaults a male outside Toucan Charlie’s with Pete Rewak and James McCann.
1999: Calls in sick, works part-time job and Geno Talino forges his sick slip.

Summer 2006: Stole a car with Taliano, made a duplicate key at dealership, with the intent to plant evidence.
May 5, 2007: Exposed on Bad Cop News for torturing, terrorizing, and tasering handcuffed male in Aug 2006.
March 8, 2007: Corey files for divorce so he can be with his mistress who latter dumps him after learning he has mental health issues and could assault her too.
July 4, 2007: Failed to stop Scotty Camapna from lighting fireworks and latter reprimanded.
July 6, 2007: Corey threatens his wife, ransacks the house, dumps out possessions, snaps a crucifix on the wall, and threatens to smash her face in.
July 29, 2007: Hosts underaged drinking party for juveniles.
Aug - Sept, 2007: Shirked his duties as FOP President and gave them to Ernie.
August 8, 2007: Highlighted for throwing under aged drinking party in National FOP publication.
August 2007: Pointed out as being sadistic batterer on police DV website “Behind the Blue Wall.”
August 13, 2007: Incessantly test messaged his wife saying “I stole your panties.”
August 20, 2007: Goes to spouse’s home with handgun, and threatens to kill his wife and self.
August 20, 2007: Placed on administrative leave for threatening to kill himself and Laura.
August 22, 2007: Corey’s wife files CPO against him.
Sept. 1, 2007: Violates Civil Protection Order and spends 7 days in Lorain County Jail.
Sept. 7, 2007: Corey is ordered by judge to undergo psych eval and spend three days at Laurelwood for psych treatment. He should havve asked for a refund. It didn’t work!!!!!
Sept. 2007: Took three times to pass his mandated psych eval.
Sept. 13, 2007: Exposed in Plain Dealer as being a batterer in article “Domestic Violence in Blue.”
Mid Sept, 2007 has Chief Rivera call the Elyria Chronicle to ask that they stop printing derogatory articles about him? As usual, the Chronicle capitulated unlike the Plain Dealer and reporter “Mark Puente.”
In the last few years, people have accused Corey of fabricating arrests, and planting evidence on them. His arrests need to be scrutinized federally to ensure he has not committed any egregious acts of impropriety.
We would also like to point out to the administration that Chief Rivera has coddled and protected Corey for years. City administrators should be aware of the term vicarious liability. This states “An employer can be held vicariously liable, for the actions of an employee who commits and egregious act while employed by them. Especially if the employer fails to ensure an employee is not a danger to the public or those around them.”
Corey is definitely a danger to himself, his family, and the public. Our rationale being, is that he has expressed homicidal and suicidal ideations, and was involuntary confined to a psychiatric facility, and violated a Civil Protection Order, which shows defiance towards the judiciary. Further, how can one give him credibility in court when he has long standing mental health issues?
Maybe this all boils down to cover- ups by Chief Rivera who obviously needs Officer Corey Earl around. I guess you could say that Chief Rivera and Officer Earl are cut from the same cloth, "Abuse and Cover-up" should now be the motto of the Lorain Cowardly Tin Badge Police Department.
