A woman is still missing that is the real story .  Not some dickliss wonder who could care less about where the mother of his children could be and what is not being done to locate her or better yet, provide the police, in my opinion with the truth.  Stacy Peterson website is http://www.findstacypeterson.com

Chicago Tribune Evening Headline: Drew Peterson's old windows on eBay for 99 cents; magazines also up for sale

Just when you thought the hoopla surrounding Drew Peterson was bound to die down? You probably haven't looked on eBay, where online auctions to purchase Peterson-related paraphernalia have begun.

Would-be buyers have their choice of Peterson's old window frames, the Dec. 3 issue of People magazine with Peterson on the cover, and several of the weekly tabloids that include Peterson in their coverage. Starting price: 99 cents. Shipping and handling not included.

"We got our windows replaced earlier this month, and I just thought as a joke it would be funny to put them on eBay to see if there are obsessed people because of all the media attention it's been getting," said Brian Lajewski, 34, who lives in a Bolingbrook house that Peterson once shared with his third wife, Kathleen Savio, who died mysteriously in 2004. "It pokes fun at different people who would want to buy it."

"Have a window into the past," the ad for the 30-year-old windows states. "I know it may be pathetic trying to make money on this, but what the heck. If you are some weird chick who is obsessed . . . and want something that Drew once owned, this is for you. Maybe you hate this guy and want to own windows from a house Drew once owned just so you can smash them. That's cool too."

Peterson, who turned 54 earlier this month, has been named a suspect in the Oct. 28 disappearance of his fourth wife, Stacy Peterson, 24. Authorities have labeled the case a "potential homicide," and police are now re-examining the death of Savio, whose body was found in a dry bathtub in her home. Her death, which did not occur in Lajewski's home, was ruled accidental at the time.

Peterson, a former Bolingbrook police sergeant, has denied wrongdoing in either case.

But the mystery has drawn and held national media attention with its bizarre twists and turns.

Last week Peterson grabbed the spotlight when he and his attorney, Joel Brodsky, proposed staging a "Win a Date With Drew" contest on a local radio show. Previously, Peterson and Brodsky concocted a Web site called defenddrew.com to raise money for his legal defense fund.

The fact that the latest stunt—the windows—was not Peterson's creation tickled him even more.

"Well, God love him. I think it's hilarious. I've got to come out with a Drew T-shirt," Peterson said. "This whole thing, I find it comical . . . Tell the guy if he gives me a cut, I'll sign them and endorse them."

Lajewski's ad is quite clear: "NONE OF THE PROCEEDS WILL GO TO THE DREW PETERSON DEFENSE FUND."

While the magazine covers with Peterson's mug appear to be part of a regular series of magazines being sold on eBay, Lajewski said he was selling the windows as a joke on those obsessed with the case, and on the media. He said it's not lost on him that the investigation is about one missing woman and one deceased woman.

"I don't think I'm taking advantage of anything," said Lajewski, who put the ad up Thursday night. "It's more or less having fun at the media and different people out there who have been obsessed."

The families of Stacy Peterson and Kathleen Savio both took the ad in stride.

"I think overall people put a sense of humor into tragedy, I hate to say it, but to lighten the whole situation," said Pam Bosco, a spokeswoman for Stacy Peterson's family. "I think, overall, most people are concerned. They show concern, they show a sense of humility in this. . . . On the outskirts, you're going to have frill, people doing their own thing. But that's the way the public works."

"That's hysterical," said Savio's sister, Anna Doman. "Drew's probably sucking this up. I hope he enjoys his day because I'm sure they're numbered."
