Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, who knows first hand about privacy gave a speech regarding identity theft and privacy issues. It's part of her talks or should I say, " easy bake over campaign" in an attempt to create a strong voter base in the Presidential elections in 2008! I'm all for protecting personal data, but, as an elected offical for a number of years, her expertise in this area seems more like a case of the "depends undergarnments" to me. Because everything was automatically going to leak out anyway. She didn't have a choice with respect to privacy on any level. So then how is she the "expert" as it relates to the American Public? Especially as a First Lady, she had no private life. And What about that gem of a husband who to his grave will tell the world, he did not have sex with that woman. Does this fall under Hillary's definition of a privacy issue? Or is she taking about Whitewater or Vince Foster? Perhaps as an "Expert" she could been more descriptive. She is no more an "expert" on this subject than you or I, the voters.
I give whatever aide thought of this issue a "one finger salute" and it will be a talking point for months to come, but, it's just a political hot button fueled with air for now anyway.
