Wrong Color, Wrong Place, Wrong Time?

These days getting killed on the streets of Chicago appears to depend on ones address and apparently skin color. Two women in recent weeks Theresa Bunn who was 21 years old and eight months pregnant was found strangled and burned in a garbage binn. Another woman Hazel Lewis, 52 years old was found strangled and burned in a trash binn, same neighborhood. Another young woman Deanna Glass, 14 years old, from the same neighborhood is also missing.  If you count the unborn child that is four lives, that we know of, who knows there are probably more. And there is still the unsolved murder of Nailah Franklin who was found murdered and burned in a forest preserve.

Where is the outrage from the community on these crimes?  Apparently, this is not enough for a national news story or would it be, if ,the victims were of another race?  No one is standing up, why?  Where are Jessy Jackson and al Sharpton?  Sorry guys, but Damm you for not stepping up to the plate and serving these stories, demanding answers with our morning coffee.

The community needs to demand answers and without the fire of those lovely self proclaimed spokespersons who only seem to appear when it makes national headlines, then it is time for others to step forward and fight to be heard.  Hold press conferences, call the police department every day. Plaster the crime victims photo's all over the city.   Make contact with the newspapers, radio and television media.  Do whatever it takes with the same intensity and focus that is currently bringing other cases into the spot light in hopes of solving the crimes.  The Police Department have asked that you contact them with any information at 312-747-8380.
