The year in review for 2007, reads more like a national headline of a tombstone, with a long train wreck of murder victims. The train cars continue to link and pile up as news of their horriffic deaths reaches our morning porch or for most, our computers. As we sit and glance with our java or energy drink with the news in twenty second sound bites of events that affect people, communities and families for the remainder of their lives. The missing, the executed, the unidentified and murdered have captured a unqiue voice in cyberspace. They live on in ways no one could have predicted less than ten years ago. We all need to wake up and consider strategies that capture and ultimately implement change To focus and find that cyber voice collectively, is not a bad idea if you think about it for more than the few seconds of sound bites that enter into our lives on a daily basis. So for 2008 , hold on, please, don't be so quick to press that delete key, because we all have more power than we realize.

An Article appeared today on abusive police officers, focusing in New York. Don't get me wrong, I am happy when any article highlights abuse within the homes of law enforcement. But, more has to be done that mere lip service. It is not a criticism but, an observation. You can work and be an expert in the field, and I applaud all those who have been diligent in the area of police officers as it pertains to abuse. The real problem lies within the departments themselves. Sugar Coating a deadly issue like police violence should be left for application on M&M Candies, it must not be applied to the lives of spouses and their children. The day when wives of Law Enforcement can receive concrete assistance, without fear, or loosing their lives, will be the day when departments are truly held accountable for those who cries for help still fall on deaf ears.
