In Chicago, On Tuesday, February 27, 2007, the mayoral primary takes place.  Mayor Daley, if elected will suprpass his own fathers terms in office, which totaled five.  This will be the Mayor's sixth election.  And with no real competition on the race track he will succeed.  And, it will probably be his last term in office.  Despite scandals over this and that, Mayor Daley has really accomplished a hell of a lot.  He has changed the entire face of Chicago with new businesses, jobs, a thriving theatre district, a place Hollywood stops in to shoot a movie or two.  Streets, areas once unsafe, are now safe enough for your grandma to walk down, alone. And housing for those who would otherwise be living on city streets and eating their meals from trash bins.  In my opinion, he is only continuing his fathers dream for all who call Chicago, home.

Soon after her employment began, the two were inseperatable.  They fell in love.  Now that love or rather the high drama of their lives has cost them both, dearly.  Both of them will have been branded convicted felons.  Not a good way to start over in life, is it.  But this young impressionable woman was in "LOVE".  Willing to do just about anything including lying to a grand jury for the "LOVE" of her life.  What kind of life will she have when Scott Fawell is released

Michael Schiavo, the husband of Terry Schiavo is beating a different drum these days.  He seems to be using his 90 minutes of fame to publicly upset a political incumbent.  Terri Schiavo's husband said Colorado voters should punish U.S. Rep. Marilyn Musgrave for meddling in what should have been a family decision.

Michael Schiavo endorsed Musgrave's opponent, state representative and Fort Collins Democrat Angie Paccione, and delivered a letter to Musgrave's Loveland office just after noon Wednesday that chided Musgrave for her "lack of respect for my rights and my family's rights."

Is John Edwards Able to Walk and Chew Gum at the Same time?

Edwards's launched his blog or should I say kicked off his presidential political campaign by posting a piece on Coretta Scott King, back in January. His blog is titled One America Committee. Like most presidential hopefuls, he has a long "horse race" to go.  He has name recognition I give him that, from his early partnership with Sen. John Kerry.  And he will be a strong with the women voters based on his personality, looks and his personal family battle with cancer.  But, those things don't necessarily make a good leader for our world.  If Edwards is throwing his hat into the ring he's going to have to do more than run a pretty boy, sympathy campaign to stay in the race. His public statements to date:
http://blog.oneamericacommittee.com/story/2006/3/20/125019/366
* the recognition of partnership benefits
* changing our immigration and adoption laws, so that they provide equality to gay and lesbian couples
* a re-examination of the "don't ask, don't tell" policy
* he's taken the punt of "let the states decide" on whether to ban or allow same-sex marriage.
