Nat'l Organization for Women-Are They Driving Down the Wrong Road?
The National Organizarion for Women will be celebrating it's 40th birthady, soon . One of the founder's who passed away last year Betty Freidan, wrote the organizations purpose statement in 1966. They also include a disclaimer of sorts: NOTICE: This is a historic document, which was adopted at NOW's first National Conference in Washington, D.C. on October 29, 1966. The words are those of the 1960s, and do not reflect current language or NOW's current priorities. I have posted highlights from an organization whose mission, agenda and leadership have drastically changed. Looking at the site today, forty years later, it's not the same organization my mother joined. They support organizations such as Code Pink, individuals like Cindy Sheehan, George Soros, while blasting the President of the United States with this link:
