Branded Lawyer's Ego Brusied Sues Web Site For Being A Bad Date

A criminal lawyer in Pittsburgh has filed a law suit against the creater of  www.dontdatehimgirl.com.  It's site that alerts women of potential "bad dates" or jerks cautioning women to beware.  The women who post remarks, comments and share their stories have dated these men and it's more of a know who you before you make a mistake.

It seem The "Victim" attorney Todd Hollis filed a lawsuit claiming the site has posted attacks against him personally by women who claim his was unfaithful and not a guy you'd probably want to bring to your house to meet the family. The site lets women posted without using their real names alerting others.  And it's ironic that he is a criminal defense lawyer, not always the brightest group of bulbs burning on a porch deck, usually representing the crimnal scum bags who kill children or rob the innocent elderly church lady.

Tasha Joseph of Miami, who created the site, which bills itself as a ''cost-effective weapon in the war on cheating men.''  She also is a former columnist for the Miami Herald.

I viewed the site and it does provide rebuttals to everyone to post in defense of bad comments.  So my question is what's the problem?  Why couldn't the lawyer just post a reply saying the information was not true.  Sounds more like a boo boo of the ego more than anything else.

The AP interviewed Lida Rodriguez-Taseff, an attorney representing Joseph, said the site is no different from the proverbial coffee shop where people go and chitchat.

''You would never think of holding the coffee shop owner liable because other people went in and defamed other people,'' Rodriguez-Taseff said.

Hollis' suit contends Joseph ''conspired with disingenuous people whose only agenda is to attack the character of those individuals who have been identified on the site.''

Hollis, 38, a criminal attorney for 12 years, also said the site does not have safeguards in place to ensure the truthfulness of items posted on it.
