regarding the innocence of Mr. Potts, who because of a his very questionable past is on the "public hot seat".  Although her column did not mention it, my guess is that she has been flooded with calls and emails after the story appeared on Sunday:Like A Neon Sign The Front Page Headline: "I Didn't Kill Her" .  While I do understand the criminal justice system and that we are each innocent until proven guilty by a jury of our peers.  Somehow, I do not understand the position the Chicago Suntimes took in this situation by giving the story front page headline ink.

Back in 2004, officer Petersons wife was found dead in a bath tub and for some reason the coroner ruled that death as accidential.  And from the reports at the time there was not enough evidence to prove otherwise.  And now, there is yet another wife  missing .  This is the photo of Stacey Peterson.     Apparently, not a peep from her officer husband on his wife could be.

The Mayor of Chicago is on an important mission, to catch and bring back a murderer. While Planing a trip to Paris, he intends to lobby French officials to extradite Hans Peterson, the man suspected of killing downtown dermatologist David Cornbleet.

Daley disclosed plans to flex his diplomatic muscle -- during upcoming meetings with the mayor of Paris, Chicago's sister city -- after the City Council approved a resolution demanding that France reverse its stand and extradite Peterson.

Peterson, who was born in the United States but holds dual citizenship because his mother was born in France, turned himself in to authorities on the French-controlled island of St. Martin last month and allegedly confessed to killing Cornbleet. Peterson allegedly said he killed Cornbleet because the doctor prescribed him acne medicine in 2002 that made him impotent.
